Why is writing about yourself a challenge? It shouldn't be – who knows you better than you?
I live to create – it’s in my bones. From writing music to graphic design, nearly all of my time is wrapped up in some creative pursuit. Growing up, my father worked as a carpenter and a lot of evenings were spent in our barn working on projects: from kitchen cabinets, to bedroom furniture, to wine cellars (and we built a guitar, which was truly awesome.) While at the time it seemed unremarkable, I now know that these projects placed within me a drive to work hard and be creative while maintaining strong attention to detail. Since 2008 I have put these tools to work, primarily in the non-profit sector, designing web and print graphics, writing copy, producing videos, and more to raise funds and awareness for a variety of projects – from magazines, to websites, to videos – I enjoy creating something from the ground up. I am a marketing and communications professional with extensive experience developing branding identity and communication strategies, specifically through print and digital media. I have experience working with corporations and non-profits alike. I am passionate about digital media because of its dynamic nature – requiring constant learning and evolving strategies.
